galvanized pipes up water softener and I'm using stainless braided bendable hose with bronzed fittings (I think) will galvanic reaction be ungovernable (2 dissimiliar metals and some salt water)
Two solutions:
- use dielectric unions between the galvanized iron pipe and the stainless stiffen hoses,
- use a 6" (or longer) hard brass pipe nipple between the galv iron pipe and SS hoses.
Galvanized pipe busted in apartment complex. Replaced with pex tubing, using tax fit fittings to connect.
